R&D Project Between LATU, INIA & CRILU

The results of the project "Characterization of Textile Properties and Pesticide Contents to Differentiate and Add Value to Uruguay's Ultrafine and Superfine Wool" were presented at INIA Tacuarembó.

The presentation was exclusively for technical experts, who were shown the data obtained through the laboratory assays of batches of CRILU wool.

LATU has collaborated with INIA for this proposal; both institutions have been working together to develop innovative products, responding to the country’s need for better opportunities of access to high value markets.

This project proposes the action, coordination, complementation and strengthening of technical, infrastructure, innovation and institutional management capacities between LATU, INIA and CRILU. The aim is to improve the differentiation and the (intrinsic and extrinsic) addition of value of high value wool, seeking to enhance the capacity of the entire textile-wool chain in Uruguay, with a positive impact on its competitiveness.
