Launch of Avanza Mypes: a program to drive the transformation of micro and small industrial enterprises in Uruguay
As part of its ongoing support policy for micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs), and in collaboration with business associations, the Technological Laboratory of Uruguay (LATU) and the Chamber of Industries of Uruguay (CIU) have launched Avanza Mypes. This program is aimed at micro and small industrial enterprises, with the goal of strengthening their competitiveness and fostering their integration into strategic value chains.
LATU’s micro, small and medium enterprises (MSME) support strategy focuses on key sectors, prioritizing the adoption of new technologies, innovation in production processes, and resource optimization.
In this context, the program is designed to support and guide micro and small enterprises in the metalworking, forestry-wood, and food sectors. It provides tools to promote their growth and professionalization through three key areas: business management, innovation and eco-innovation, and commercialization.
Starting in July, selected companies will have free access to training sessions, technical assistance, and networking opportunities with other players in the productive ecosystem. The aim is to boost their capabilities, foster synergies, and help them grow stronger within the national industrial landscape.
