We celebrate 20 years of accreditation of assays with UKAS
In 1998 we obtained our first accreditation of assays with UKAS, the accreditation service of the United Kingdom. Since then, LATU has grown in trials, types of samples, laboratories, a new headquarters in Fray Bentos, equipment, personnel and knowledge. This growth was accompanied by the corresponding accreditations.
This year we completed the first 10 years of the accreditation of assays at Fray Bentos and 20 years of the accreditation of assays at the Montevideo headquarters of LATU, which allows us to demonstrate the technical competence and impartiality in the results issued.
Today, with approximately 300 accredited assays and samplings based on ISO / IEC 17025, we received the joint external audit between UKAS and OUA (Uruguayan Accreditation Organization) with the purpose of renewing accreditation based on ISO / IEC 17025: 2017 (latest version of this standard).
It fills us with pride and satisfaction to have traveled this road of 20 years, which, without the commitment of the collaborators and the management, would not have been achieved. Confident in the future, we continue along the same growth path to strengthen and respond to the needs of the market and the country.
